Our strategy for FY2024 includes many nationwide conferences supporting the federal contracting market. These events are a great way to show up and showcase what you can do to support the mission of the buyers you seek and to engage in meaningful conversations to increase your presence in the marketplace and your potential for growth in the industry.
We are fresh from our remarkable week at the National 8(a) Association Small Business Conference, which had an amazing turnout of more than 2500 attendees this year. The National 8(a) Association unites Government and Industry leaders, providing matchmaking opportunities and facilitating educational discussions. These initiatives drive the advancement of the 8(a) certification mission and support their membership. For the last several years, this national conference has been at the top of our list for sponsorship and participation, and this year’s event proved to be among, if not the best one yet!
Heading into the closing of Q1, Parabilis will engage in multiple panel discussions and webinars focusing on a pertinent need for all government contractors: access to capital for growth. Looking into 2024
April: Native Hawaiian Organization Association (NHOA) annual conference in
Honolulu, HI.
This event supports the NHOA, and offers members and attendees access to opportunities in the Hawaiian Islands, and supports military objectives in that region.
May: VETS24 hosted by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC) Annual Conference in Orlando, FL
This conference has also been growing by leaps and bounds and offers a unique environment showcasing SDVOSBs and VOSBs from all over the country. Their continued and strengthening advocacy efforts have afforded increased opportunities for veteran-owned businesses nationwide.
June: Government Procurement Conference in Washington, D.C.
This extraordinary one-day event brings government and industry together in a fantastic way! One of the most well-attended events in the industry, participants can engage in conversation with nearly every government agency, military, large prime, and small business contractors that are actively pursuing buying and partnering objectives.
July: HUBZone Contractors National Council Conference in Chantilly, VA.
Going back to their roots this year in Chantilly, this event is a fan-favorite and has grown
exponentially in the last four years. As members of the Executive Board, we strongly encourage attending this event as it provides unparalleled opportunities to connect with various agencies, including the Small Business Administration at the highest leadership level and locally-based District offices. Additionally, it offers invaluable exposure to other organizations supporting government contractors.
August/September: 2 Huntsville-hosted events: Space and Missile Defence Symposium and the National Cybersecurity Summit.
These events get a tremendous turnout due to the growing government contracting focus for large and small contractors in that region. If you are looking to meet Government, Military, or Contracting professionals within either of the two areas of proficiencies, this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity!
Throughout the year, our Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) partners offer 3-4 conferences through their ChallengerHER program. We support and attend all of these events and look forward to sharing with you the dates, times, and locations for each as they become available! As you can see, there is no denying that government contracting provides an evergreen opportunity for success, and each event will host the best of the best.
