With deadlines on the horizon, we wanted to keep our clients and constituents “in the know” as it pertains to cybersecurity compliance. If you are a defense contractor and have a current Enhanced Joint Certification (JCP) you must post your NIST SP 800-171 score in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) by August 16th or be locked out of the site. If you do not currently have a contract award with the DoD, per the DFARS 252.204-7019 clause, you will need to submit a Basic Assessment to the SPRS site to be considered for upcoming awards.

So, what does this mean for you?

If you miss this deadline, you will need to submit your SPRS score in order to regain access. Do so with caution, because if your score is deemed inaccurate or misleading, you could potentially be in violation of the False Claims Act. So, it is best to seek assistance from a cyber professional for any part of this compliance.

Why miss out on completing your contract or future award opportunities? Watch our complete discussion to get informed on this deadline and more regarding upcoming cyber regulatory compliance and CMMC!
