Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes next.~Zig Ziglar

Is your company engaging in the federal market and starting to feel a ground swell letting you know that things are about to take off? Are you in that place where your comfort zone is no longer comfortable because you have no other choice than to take that leap and soar?

I love working with companies as they are realizing their potential, and I thrive on connecting businesses with resources that can take them to the tipping point and beyond. With this in mind, our team has been attending, hosting and offering many events to give to our network the best resources for growing and thriving in the federal marketplace. What I have learned in my interactions at these events is that access to quality information is the key to unlocking opportunities for your growth. It is for this reason that Team Parabilis is gearing up to share with your business what you need to maximize your ability to capitalize on your effort in Q4.

Last week we hosted an RFI Town Hall in our office with our friend, @Guy Timberlake of the @GovConClub. The panel discussion was led by a representative of every aspect of the RFI process: the customer, the buyer, and an industry leader, and the purpose was to set some ground work on how and why RFIs are of significance to all parties represented. The candid conversation exposed the strengths and weaknesses of the process, and the honest perceptions of each of the panelists. The strength of the information provided will undoubtedly influence the way our attendees approach the opportunities to deliver on an RFI, and uncovered some of the misconceptions of the process as well. Speaking directly with the source provided our guests an insider-perspective on RFIs from multiple levels.

We were inspired by the results and encouraged to continue the conversation by building on what we uncovered in this first session and expanding to include more experts and more insight going forward. If your business is growing and you want to take it to the next level and you don’t know how, you likely need an information infusion for inspiration, and we can help!

I recommend attending events like this one, and staying in the loop on those that are ahead so you can interact with your peers and your prospective buyers and skip the guess work on your future opportunities. Knowledge is power. My biggest takeaway was understanding how each panelist’s role affected the process overall. With that insight on the perspectives of all parties involved you can see how to approach, engage, and even potentially walk away from an RFI.

In government contracting there is no reason to reinvent the wheel. The processes and expected procedures that follow have been done the same way without change for decades. Come out and learn from those who have the most experience in this game rather than putting too much effort into trial and error. We are sponsoring the @Government Contracting Club events hosted at the Tower Club in Tysons for the rest of the year. Come and join us and use what you learn to take your contractor to the next level of success!
